Description
|
The survey ‘Legal Separations, Divorces and Dissolution of Civil Unions’ aims to collect monthly data on the number of separations, divorces and civil union dissolutions, as well as information on the related agreements or decisions and on the couples involved.
It covers both out-of-court agreements recorded by the municipal Civil Status Offices and court decisions on separation, divorce and dissolution of civil unions transmitted by the Italian judicial authorities for registration.
The data collected help to describe recent trends and structural changes in the ways marriages and civil unions come to an end, whether through court proceedings or out-of-court procedures.
The survey is part of the National Statistical Programme (ISTAT code IST-02798).
