The information provides by Business register of local units are: -location of the LU, -Economical activity,-Number of employees. The set-up of the register have been carried out starting from 2004 with the realization of an informative base of local units, obtained through a process of normalization and integration of records present in the available sources. In the occasion of the Italian “virtual” economic census CIS2011 the Business register of local units has undergone a conceptual and methodological review. This process has led to a widening of the information of the Registry, through the use of new administrative sources, that made possible the release of data on individual workers of local units of enterprises. Thanks to the availability of a new set of administrative data and to the adoption of a common conceptual framework and harmonized estimation methods for the treatment of administrative data for statistical purpose, the LEED brings together information from both sides of the enterprise/local units, individual (workers) and job relation classified according to the international standards on employment, in the reference year. The register contains information on the local units of the enterprise, the individual (worker’s characteristics such as sex, age, nationality…) and the main job variables (professional status).
