Stratified random sampling (Edition: 31/12/2004)

General information
Validity periodEdition: 31/12/2004
Approximate size2600
DescriptionThe sampling design of the survey on educational and professional routes of upper secondary graduates is a two-stage sampling with stratification of the primary stage unit. Primary stage units include upper secondary schools stratified by administrative NUT-2 region, school type, and graduate size. Secondary stage units include the students graduated three years before survey starting. In 1998 and 2001 surveys schools were asked to select a sample of their graduates according to the instructions provided by ISTAT, since the 2004 survey all the schools within the sample provided the complete list of graduates from which ISTAT randomly selected graduates to undergo interview.
